Move On vs. Facebook

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-facebook21nov21,1,2142037.story?coll=la-headlines-business

This article is kind of interesting, although I am an avid Facebook user and have experienced nothing that the MoveOn organization is complaining about. Furthermore, there is a funny quote in the article that seemed to disqualify the severity of the complaints of the organization.

"MoveOn.org is buying ads, organizing a 'protest group' and circulating an online petition to pressure Facebook to allow its more than 55 million users to change its opt-out method. By early Tuesday evening, the protest group numbered 2,568 with several members threatening to quit Facebook."

Really? Several of the 2,568 people of the 55 million people are threatening to quit? A smaller percentage of that .00004% might quit facebook over it? 1 out of every 25,000 members might quit?

You get my point. If these are the numbers this organization is pulling, I'm guessing it's not an issue I really care about. But I guess time will tell. Either way, way to make your point sound completely useless, L.A. Times.
